PFWA 2020 All-NFL, All-AFC and All-NFC teams announced

The Green Bay Packers placed a league-high four players on the 2020 All-NFL team, chosen in voting conducted by the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA).

The Packers placed quarterback Aaron Rodgers, wide receiver Davante Adams, center Corey Linsley and offensive tackle David Bakhtiari on the All-NFL team. The four selections to the All-NFL offense tied the record for most by one team to the offensive unit, last accomplished by the Dallas Cowboys in 2016.

The Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts each had three All-NFL honorees. Guard Joel Bitonio, offensive tackle Jack Conklin and defensive end Myles Garrett were selected from the Browns. The Colts representatives on the All-NFL team are guard Quenton Nelson, defensive tackle DeForest Buckner and special teamer George Odum.

The Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers each had two players on the All-NFL team. In all, 15 clubs are represented among the 27 players honored by the PFWA.

Seven players were repeat selections from the PFWA’s 2019 All-NFL team – Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald, Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry, Nelson, Bears kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson, Baltimore Ravens placekicker Justin Tucker and Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt.

Donald was named All-NFL for the sixth consecutive season, the longest current streak among active players. Nelson and Tucker were both selected for the third straight season. Patterson tied the record for most consecutive PFWA first-team selections by a kick returner, accomplished four other times, including by Patterson in 2015-16. Tucker tied Pro Football Hall of Famer Morten Andersen (1985-87) for the most consecutive PFWA first-team selections by a placekicker.

Donald (2015-20) was selected All-NFL for the sixth time, while Mack (2015 DE & OLB, 2016 DE, 2018 OLB and 2020 OLB), Patterson (2013, 2015-16, 2019-20) and Tucker (2013, 2016, 2018-20) all became five-time All-NFL selections. Tucker’s fifth selection ties him with Andersen (1985-87, 1992, 1995) for the most PFWA first-team selections by a placekicker.

A total of 14 players were first-time All-NFL selections.

The All-NFL offense includes Rodgers (third career All-NFL selection) at quarterback, Minnesota’s Dalvin Cook (first selection) and Henry (second selection) at running back, Adams (first selection) and Buffalo’s Stefon Diggs (first selection) at wide receiver, Kansas City’s Travis Kelce (third selection) at tight end, Linsley (first selection) at center, Bitonio (first selection) and Nelson (third selection) at guard and Bakhtiari (second selection) and Conklin (first selection) at tackle.

The All-NFL defense includes Garrett (first selection) and New Orleans’ Troy Hendrickson (first selection) at defensive end, Buckner (first selection) and Donald at defensive tackle, Mack and Watt (second selection) at outside linebacker, San Francisco’s Fred Warner (first selection) at middle linebacker, Miami’s Xavien Howard (first selection) and the Los Angeles Rams’ Jalen Ramsey (second selection) at cornerback and Fitzpatrick (second selection) and Kansas City’s Tyrann Mathieu (second selection) at safety.
